United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) will support next year’s population census in Somalia.
Niyi Ojuolape said this on Wednesday.
Ojuolape, the Resident Representative of UNFPA in Somalia, assured the East African nation of the organization’s support.
“UNFPA will support the 2024 Somali Population and Housing Census financially and technically,” Ojuolape stated.
He added that UNFPA will train thousands of enumerators needed for the exercise.
Somalia will be holding its first national census in 50 years.
