UNICEF and USAID Vaccination Campaign in Burao Hospital Proves Successful

A vaccination campaign carried out jointly by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has been a massive success.

The vaccination campaign took place in Somalia’s Burao Hospital.

A report by the two organizations indicates that the hospital has thus far vaccinated 654 people in 10 days.

The vaccination was for those interested in taking the COVID-19 jab.

COVID-19 remains a serious health problem in the East African nation, especially since its healthcare system has suffered years of neglect due to conflicts and corruption.
