The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) conducted flood awareness campaigns in Baidoa.
Officials from UNICEF and other child protection partners conducted the campaigns in 9 camps for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the Southwest city.
Some of the partners included the Somali Children Welfare and Rights Watch (SCWRW) and the Somali Women Development Center (SWDC).
The campaigns took place on Tuesday.
Representatives from the three organizations visited the camps while relaying critical messages to the IDPs on protective care during flooding.
They addressed over 1,470 people in the camps.
