A senior official of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) visited the leader of the regional state of Jubbaland on Tuesday.
Wafaa Saeed, the UNICEF Country Representative to Somalia, visited President Ahmed Islam Madobe of Jubbaland in Kismayo.
The meeting between Saeed and President Madobe focused on several issues.
During their meeting, the leaders discussed UNICEF’s support for the humanitarian efforts in Jubbaland.
They also spoke about the need for scaling up joint response to alleviate the suffering of children and families in Jubbaland in the face of the ongoing drought.
