A delegation from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) visited Banadir Hospital on Saturday.
The UNICEF delegation was at the hospital to visit the quality of services offered to the hundreds of children at the facility.
Banadir is the only hospital of its kind to offer medical treatment to children affected by the ongoing drought.
UNICEF makes sure that the facility has enough funds to provide quality healthcare and attention to children.
Currently, the facility’s Stabilization Center hosts around 300 children per month.
Fartun Sharif, the Director of the Banadir Hospital and other senior medical officers, received the UNICEF delegation, which was under the leadership of Wafaa ElFadil Saeed Abdelatef.
Abdelatef is the UNICEF Representative to Somalia.
