The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) distributed health and nutrition supplies to victims of the raging flash floods in Bardhere.
UNICEF worked closely with the federal government to ensure that the 35 metric tons of medicine and foodstuffs reached the deserving households.
The plane carrying supplies was dispatched from the Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu on Thursday.
UNICEF announced that the supplies would support lifesaving health services in the areas affected the most by the floods.
