The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has helped to educate more than 120,000 Somali children from January-June 2022.
UNICEF said this while publishing the latest report on its activities in Somalia.
The organization issued the report on July 22.
According to UNICEF, 46 percent of the children it helped to educate together with its partners were girls.
Moreover, the global organization also provided 80,000 people with access to mental health services.
The latter group was able to access psychological support services too.
Additionally, the organization has played a critical role in supporting 464,259 women and children in Somalia to receive lifesaving health services in the same period.
