UNICEF Somalia partnered with the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) to support hundreds of social workers in the country.
The partnership ensured that 235 social workers based all over the country benefited from the assistance offered by UNICEF Somalia and the government.
While supporting them, UNICEF Somalia hailed the incredible role that social workers play in protecting children from violence.
Further, the organization indicated that the workers are essential in protecting children from exploitation and abuse.
It asked for more assistance and support towards social workers especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, which continues to ravage healthcare, social wellness, and the economy of Somalia.
