The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) continues to provide various emergency services to Somalis affected by climate change in the country.
UNICEF officials visited different parts of the country providing humanitarian assistance to those in need.
They offered emergency health and nutrition services to the needy.
The UNICEF officials also extended their knowledge of preventing and treating childhood diseases as well as malnutrition.
They educated locals on ways of improving maternal and newborn care and immunization.
UNICEF managed to do this with support from the United Kingdom Embassy in Mogadishu as well as the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO.
