The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Director for Nutrition and Child Development visited displaced children and families in Baidoa.
Victor Aguayo, UNICEF Director, visited the displaced children and families on June 20.
Baidoa is home to thousands of children and families who abandoned their homes because of the worsening drought and humanitarian situation.
He visited a nutrition center in Southwest’s Baidoa town, which UNICEF supports.
Aguayo called such types of nutrition centers “important” in identifying and treating children diagnosed with malnutrition.
