The government of the United Kingdom has appointed a new Ambassador to Somalia.
A communiqué from London indicated that Kate Foster would begin her tour of duty as the new UK Ambassador to Somalia.
Foster’s tenure takes effect from February 2021.
She would be reporting to Somalia at a time when the East African nation is expected to hold parliamentary and presidential elections.
Foster takes over from Ben Fender, who has served as his country’s Ambassador to Somalia for the last two years.
