United Kingdom has promised to cooperate closely with Somalia, especially on the economy and security.
A Member of Parliament, James Duddridge, who is also the Minister for Africa for the government of the UK, announced this on September 29.
Duddridge made the announcement while congratulating Mohamed Hussein Roble for his appointment as the new Prime Minister of Somalia.
The Conservative MP for Rochford and Southend East mentioned that he had already spoken to Prime Minister Roble.
During their talks, they discussed the future of their two countries.
Mostly, their talks revolved around ways of enabling Somalia to undertake effective reforms in the economic and security sectors.
Further, the UK government assured Somalia of support to build an inclusive state.
Duddridge also offered the government’s assistance to help Somalia to tackle Al-Shabaab while helping the most vulnerable members of the community.
