The United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) celebrates the clearance project it implemented in Somalia in 2022.
In its latest report, UNMAS states that it implemented the project in four regional states in Somalia.
Implementation of the project prevented explosive ordnance accidents.
It had numerous other benefits too.
These included restoration of access to land as well as increased access to humanitarian assistance.
UNMAS vowed to continue with this project all over the country.
