United Nations has released a five-year framework that defines its engagement with the people and government of Somalia.
This took place a few days after it signed a United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) with the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS).
The document is founded on four priorities that include politics and reconciliation, security and the rule of law, economic development, and social development.
UN stated that the framework is critical for realizing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and all the Sustainable Development Goals in Somalia.
The global organization released the five-year framework on October 26.
During the event, the UN stated that the framework is crucial for guiding the “collective support” that it offers to Somalia from 2021 to 2025.
