United Nations Assistance Mission in Somalia (UNSOM) has urged Somali leaders to work together for the benefit of everybody in the country.
UNSOM made this call on Wednesday, October 14.
The organization’s representatives spoke in Baidoa in the company of their colleagues from the African Union (AU), European Union (EU), and the United Nations (UN).
Representatives from the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) were at the event too.
The international diplomats urged Somali leaders, especially politicians, to work together for the good of all Somalis.
They encouraged the leaders to pursue common goals not only in politics and the upcoming elections but also in advancing national priorities.
Specifically, the partners mentioned the constitutional review process, which requires an all-inclusive approach to create a document that all Somalis would be proud of.
