Members of the Senate have approved legislation to establish the Somali Agricultural Regulatory and Inspection Services (SARIS).
The Senators approved formation of the new entity during the Tuesday session.
This new entity is expected to play a crucial role in regulating and inspecting agricultural practices, ensuring the quality and safety of agricultural products, and promoting sustainable farming methods across the country.
SARIS aims to strengthen Somalia’s agricultural sector, which is vital for the country’s food security and economic development.
