Larry Andre, the United States Ambassador to Somalia, called President Muse Bihi Abdi on the phone on Wednesday.
Ambassador Andre and President Bihi spoke about the Las Anod conflicts.
A communiqué from the US Embassy in Mogadishu indicated that Amb. Andre and President Bihi had a “frank conversation.”
The report from the US Embassy adds that Amb. Andre advised the Somaliland President on the need to create distance between the warring forces in Las Anod.
Further, he urged Bihi for a roadmap for future elections in Somaliland.
