The United States Ambassador to Somalia has commended Speaker Sheikh Madobe of the House of the People (Lower House) on the recent Baidoa reconciliation conference.
Ambassador Larry Andre commended Speaker Madobe when they met in Mogadishu on Monday.
The US diplomat added that Speaker Madobe played a crucial role in bringing the warring parties to the table to discuss leadership challenges in the Southwest state.
“We have noted the passage of critical legislation by the federal parliament under the able leadership of Speaker Madobe,” added Ambassador Andre.
“We look forward eagerly to the continued progress of the legislative agenda,” the US Ambassador added.
