US Ambassador Says High Literacy Levels is Key to Somalia’s Revival

The United States Ambassador to Somalia has said that a high literacy level is critical to the revival of the East African nation.

Ambassador Larry Andre said this on Thursday, September 8.

He had joined Farah Abdulkadir in celebrating International Literacy Day in Mogadishu.

Other stakeholders from the educational sector attended the event too, which attracted students from a few Somali schools.

Abdulkadir, the federal Minister of Education, Culture, and Higher Education, led the celebrations.

In his address, Ambassador Andre urged Somalia to pursue high literacy levels.
