US Ambassador Supports the Rights of Somalis with Disabilities

Larry Andre, the United States Ambassador to Somalia, has vowed to join Somalis with disabilities in fighting for their rights.

Ambassador Andre made this vow on July 20 in his meeting with Mohamed Jama.

Jama is the Chairperson of the National Disability Agency Somalia (NDAS).

The two held their meeting and discussions in Mogadishu. They discussed various issues pertaining to persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Somalia.

They vowed to work together to ensure that PWDs in Somalia have the same rights, access, and inclusion as everyone else.

Ambassador Andre assured Jama and all PWDs that their rights are human rights too.
