Ambassador Larry Andre visited Ahmed Fiqi, the new interior minister in the Somalia government, on Tuesday.
The two discussed wide-ranging issues touching on their respective nations.
Primarily, their discussions revolved around the fight against terrorism. They mostly talked about defeating Al-Shabaab.
Al-Shabaab militants have become a menace in the region.
They are responsible for much of the insecurity that Somalia endures.
Other than that, Fiqi and Ambassador Andre also discussed ways of supporting representative and accountable regional governments around the country.
