The United States has called yesterday’s attack against officers from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Mogadishu a terrorist attack.
On Sunday, the US Embassy in Mogadishu issued a statement on the deadly incident.
It condemned the murder of the three officers from the UAE who were in Somalia to train local security and military personnel.
During Saturday’s training session at a Mogadishu military camp, one local trainee opened fire on his colleagues thus killing several of them.
UAE and Somali trainers were among those killed.
The US reiterated its readiness to continue supporting Somalia’s efforts to build peace in the country.
