The United States has called out a former commander of Danab forces for exceptional service.
This week, the US Embassy in Mogadishu commended Ahmed Abdullahi Nur Beryare for his years of service.
Beryare was the commander of Danab, a unit of specially trained soldiers in Somali National Army (SNA).
The US Embassy hailed him for the bravery and unwavering partnership he provided over the years too.
