United States Representative Ilhan Omar has thrown her weight behind Somalia in the ongoing diplomatic row with Ethiopia.
On Sunday, Rep. Omar issued a statement stating her support for Somalia.
In her speech caught on video, Omar said that no country can grab a single inch of Somalia’s coastline or sea.
She encouraged Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud not to give into the aggression by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
Rep. Omar urged President Mohamud to continue standing against the attempts by Ethiopia to access and control the Red Sea port in Somaliland.
