US Embassy Creates Learning Opportunities for 160,000 Out-of-School Somali Children

The United States Embassy in Mogadishu has created learning opportunities for over 160,000 children who are out of school.

The US Embassy is to work closely with the Ministry of Education to provide Somali children with opportunities in various fields.

Consequently, the children would be able to acquire wide-ranging skills.

These include basic literacy, numeracy, and life skills.

Farah Sheikh Abdulkadir and Shane Dixon discussed these issues in detail when they met in Mogadishu on Tuesday.

Abdulkadir is the Minister of Education, Culture, and Higher Education.

Dixon is the Charge d’Affaires at the US Embassy.
