The United States Embassy in Somalia supported the 4th Annual Somali Prosecutors Conference.
The prosecutors’ conference ended on March 6.
According to a statement from the US Embassy, the conference was successful due to the joint efforts between it and the US Department of State.
Other organizations that played a role in making the conference successful were EUCAP Somalia and United Nations Office for Project Services (USOPS) Somalia.
International Law Development Organization (IDLO) also played a massive role in organizing the conference.
Participants at the conference discussed several issues pertinent to their professions.
Some of the topics covered include forensics, ethics, and importance of advanced training.
They also discussed the relationship between federal and regional state prosecution services in Somalia.
