The United States government is in pursuit of two senior commanders it labels “dangerous,” the country’s Department of Defense announced.
The Department of Defense made the announcement on Wednesday, November 18.
DoD’s latest Executive Order 13224 designated both commanders “dangerous.”
Mike Pompeo, the outgoing Secretary of State, signed Executive Order 13224, which blacklisted Maalim Ayman and Abdullahi Osman Mohamed.
The State Department identified Mohamed as the “senior expert on explosives.”
Mohamed, who is also known as Engineer Ismail, has been in charge of the manufacture and operations of explosives for the Al-Qaeda linked group.
On his part, the State Department said that Adman is the leader of Jays Adman, an Al-Shaba subgroup that has been carrying out terror attacks in Somalia and Kenya.
