The United States has labeled Al-Shabaab a “diminishing force” following the latest attack by members of the terror group in Mogadishu.
Al-Shabaab terrorists raided Villa Rosa Hotel in the nation’s capital on Sunday, November 27 at around 8 pm.
Since then, they have maintained a siege at the hotel, which is quite popular with politicians and government officers.
On Monday, the US Embassy in Mogadishu issued a statement hitting out at the terrorist group.
In the statement, the US Embassy said that the militants keep attacking innocent civilians because they cannot win whenever they fight against security forces in Somalia.
It added that the people, leadership, and government of Somalia will eventually triumph.
