The United States military helped the Somali National Army (SNA) troops to kill more than 100 Al-Shabaab terrorists in Hiiraan region.
A statement from the Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism dated September 19 said that the operation was the joint effort of the SNA and the US military.
Members of the local community also worked well with the military forces to annihilate the terrorists.
According to the information ministry, the US military supported SNA with airstrikes.
The operation, which took place over the last 72 hours, revolved around Yasoman and Aborey villages in the Hiiraan region.
