A delegation of United States officials visited internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Baidoa this week.
Ted Lawrence, the US Agency for International Development (USAID) Acting Mission Director. led the officials that included representatives of the US Embassy in Mogadishu in the tour.
Ted and his team held discussions with other partners on the durable solutions that the IDPs need to return home and improve their lives.
Baidoa has over 650,000 IDPs.
USAID and other partners continue to work hard to provide the humanitarian assistance that the IDPs need.
The team from USAID and the US Embassy was briefed on the current humanitarian situation in Baidoa.
