United States President Joe Biden has appointed a new Ambassador to Somalia.
News from Washington DC state that Richard Riley will take over as the new US Ambassador to Somalia.
Riley, a long-serving diplomat, takes over from outgoing Amb. Larry Andre.
Amb. Andre has been serving in the East African nation since January 2022. It is not clear why President Biden has cut short Andre’s tour of duty.
