The United States continues to rank as Somalia’s largest donor, the US Ambassador has said.
Larry Andre, the US Ambassador to Somalia, said this during an interview with the Voice of America (VOA) in Washington.
Ambassador Andre reiterated US’ commitment to continue supporting Somalia’s reemergence as a stable, democratic, and peaceful nation.
He promised that the US would not stop providing humanitarian, security, and development aid to Somalia.
According to Ambassador Andre, the US would support democracy in Somalia.
Ambassador Andre also hit out at the people who are more intent on silencing Somalis agitating for increased freedom and democracy.
