US Supported Humanitarian Response in Somalia with $1.5 Billion Since 2022

The United States has supported various humanitarian response campaigns in Somalia to the tune of $1.5 billion since 2022.

Through the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the US Embassy in Mogadishu, the US confirmed this in the latest report published on Thursday.

The report shows that the US remains the single largest humanitarian assistance donor to the East African nation.

In the last two years, Somalia has experienced numerous disasters including floods, heavy rains, and infestation of desert locusts thus calling for humanitarian aid from international partners.
