The United States has promised to contribute towards Somalia’s drought response measures forthwith.
Through the US Embassy in Mogadishu, it promised to provide various supplies to the needy and vulnerable Somalis in the country.
Some of the supplies the US Embassy intends to distribute include food and water.
Apart from this, it assured Somali households of access to health services and good nutrition as part of the drought response measures.
Over the last five years, the US Embassy has contributed roughly $450 million in humanitarian assistance to Somalia.
