The United States has promised to step up its war against the Al-Shabaab in Somalia.
This news broke out as senior military officers from the United States continue meeting top political and military leaders from Somalia.
Last week, the US officers held a meeting with President Ahmed Islam Madobe of the Jubaland State.
Al-Shabaab remains in charge of many rural areas in central and southern Somalia.
The US, through the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM), has provided Somalia with military intelligence and resources to fight Al-Shabaab over the years.
However, it recently pulled out its troops from the East African nation.
