Officials from the United States Embassy and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) held discussions with representatives of several Somali firms.
The US delegation held a constructive consultative meeting with the Somali firms on May 4th.
Their discussion was with personnel from Dahabshiil Group, Laas Group, and Telesom Company.
Dahabshiil is the largest money transfer firm on the continent.
Telesom is the leading telecommunications firm in Somaliland.
Laas, a Somaliland firm, specializes in manufacturing, logistics, and wide-ranging services.
Together with the US firms, the three firms agreed on the importance of public-private partnership (PPP).
