The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has announced $114 million for humanitarian assistance in the Horn of Africa region.
USAID announced the humanitarian assistance on April 7.
According to the international aid organization, the funds would be for people in Somalia, Kenya, and Ethiopia who face unprecedented drought.
There are fears that the ongoing drought could lead to famine and starvation.
As per USAID’s announcement, close to 20 million individuals in the region would require emergency food this year.
