The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) donated personal protective equipment (PPEs) to Somalia journalists.
USAID delivered the PPEs to Somali journalists on March 18.
The delivery and eventual distribution to individual was made through the Somali Journalists’ Syndicate (SJS).
Consequently, journalists are now able to wear facemasks to protect themselves while performing their professional duties.
SJS expressed gratitude to USAID for donating the PPEs.
The PPEs were distributed to journalists working for various news outlets. Freelance journalists received the PPEs too.
