The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has enrolled 100,000 children in Somalia in school through its Bar ama Baro program.

USAID announced this while providing the latest updates on its highly successful program.

As of September 20, the organization said that its Somalia office has worked closely with the federal Ministry of Education, Culture, and Higher Education to educate more children.

Moreover, it has also supported 461 schools across 32 districts around the country.

USAID has extended its support to 2,200 teachers and 461 headteachers to ensure that they offer quality services in their schools.

Currently, the program runs in several regional states that include Jubbaland, HirShabelle, Southwest, and Benadir.
