The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has helped Somali women to establish the Women Justice Actors Pressure Group.
USAID formed the women’s pressure group in conjunction with other organizations.
These included Expanding Access to Justice Program (EAJP) and Somali Women Development Center (SWDC).
While unveiling the pressure group on March 7, USAID announced that it would represent women, especially those in southern Somalia.
Additionally, the group would also advocate for justice in the region.
The Women Justice Actors Pressure Group features women leaders from various professions and backgrounds.
