The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) remains committed to its partnership with Somalia.
Ambassador Samantha Power, the USAID Administrator, offered this reassurance in her meeting with President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Sunday, July 24.
Power has been visiting countries in the Horn of Africa region since the weekend.
She traveled to Mogadishu for a meeting with the Somali President.
Ambassador Power assured President Mohamud and the people of Somalia that USAID remains committed to the long-standing partnership it has with the country.
She also promised that USAID would continue supporting Somalia’s quest for peace, stability, and security.
