A veteran commission of the Puntland Regional Police Force has passed away.
General Gaani Aw Mohamed Haji Abdi passed away in France on Friday, January 26.
Gen. Abdi served in several positions within the Somali Police Force (SPF) for a number of years.
His legacy includes the training of around 600 police officers at Puntland’s Carmo Police Academy.
The officers trained at the academy between 2005 and 2008 were from various parts of Somalia.
