Ahmed E. Osman Karaash, the Vice President of the regional state of Puntland, witnessed commencement of repair of local roads.
On September 20, the Vice President joined other senior officials to launch the repair works along roads in Garowe and Sinujiif.
As part of the road rehabilitation project, the contractor on site is expected to work on 56 bridges along the roads too.
Puntland’s Minister of Public Works was at hand to witness the launching ceremony.
Others included the Minister of Planning, the Minister of Finance, and representatives from the Office of the President.
The construction company also sent its representatives to Monday’s event.
