Vice President Ahmed Elmi Osman Karaash of Puntland has returned home after an official visit to Turkey.
Karaash, who is the Acting President in the absence of President Said Abdullahi Deni, was warmly welcomed back when his plane landed at Garowe Airport.
The Vice President held meetings with several top officials of the Turkish government in Ankara.
During the meetings, he discussed development issues and the need to strengthen the ties between Turkey and Puntland.
Karaash is the Acting President because Deni left Puntland for an official visit to Djibouti.
Deni is also expected to arrive back home and attend Dhusamareb III talks together with President Mohamed Farmaajo and all the other five leaders of Federal Member States (FMS).
