The clans that have been involved in the clashes in Galgadud for several days now have agreed on a ceasefire.
Reports from the region indicate that members of the two clans entered a preliminary agreement on Wednesday.
This follows discussions between Galmudug President Ahmed Abdi Karie Qoorqoor, traditional elders, and representatives of the warring clans.
Following the agreement, the warring parties will embrace ceasefire, cooperate with security officers, and separate the militias.
