President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has issued a timeline in which the Somali government would have eliminated Al-Shabaab from the country.
The President gave a deadline of five months.
President Mohamud was in Dhusamareb at a public town hall meeting on Thursday when he issued the timeline.
He reiterated the determination of his administration to eliminate the Al-Shabaab militants.
