A welcome dinner was hosted for Lt. Gen. Sam Okiding on Thursday night.
Lt. Gen. Okiding is the Force Commander of the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS).
Souef Mohamed El-Amine, the Head of ATMIS, hosted the dinner for Lt. Gen. Okiding.
Senior ATMIS officials were present at the function too.
El-Amine, who is also the Special Representative of the Chairperson of the AU Commission (SRCC), led the rest in reaffirming ATMIS’ commitment to its mandate.
Further, he added that ATMIS would not give up on implementing the Somali Transition Plan (STP).
