The World Food Programme (WFP) hosted an agribusiness trade fair in Jowhar.
WFP hosted the trade fair, which kicked off in Jowhar on April 1, in conjunction with the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO).
The Swedish Embassy in Somalia also supported the trade fair.
According to the organizers, the trade fair is for small-scale farmers in the region to showcase their products and exchange ideas.
Officers from the regional and federal governments attended the event.
Farmers’ cooperative societies were at the event to display their produce while using the opportunity to form marketing networks with traders and institutional consumers.
