WFP Reaffirms Commitment to Zero Hunger in Somalia

The World Food Program (WFP) has reaffirmed its commitment to zero hunger in Somalia.

WFP made this reaffirmation on October 16 during this year’s World Food Day.

The theme for this year’s World Food Day is “Safe Food Now for a Healthy Tomorrow.”

WFP enjoys support from organizations such as the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

According to WFP, such partnerships enable it to meet food security needs in Somalia.

It supports Somalis with cash transfers, which are effective at empowering local economies.

Through cash transfers and other forms of support, Somalis can now build resilience and look forward to more guaranteed livelihoods.
