WFP Sets Three-Year Strategy for Eliminating Hunger in Somalia

World Food Program (WFP) has set a three-year strategy for eliminating hunger in Somalia.

WFP held talks on eliminating hunger in the East African nation with representatives from the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS).

The talks took place on January 18.

WFP said that it held the talks with key Somali government ministries. The United Nations organization described the talks as “productive.”

Representatives from the non-governmental organizations (NGOs) were at the “Zero Hunger” talks, which were held in Mogadishu.

WFP said that the talks, which also attracted representatives from other UN agencies in Somalia, demonstrate the commitment of various stakeholders to eliminate hunger.
